The tennis club we sponsor has achieved the best result in their history.
Berkhamsted LTSRC played in the LTA National League Finals, the UK’s top club competition, having beaten the No.1 seeds in the Semis and losing in the Final only to Roehampton Club, one of the country’s most prestigious tennis clubs. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that Roehampton fielded a number of professional players, underlining the scale of the challenge faced by the Berkhamsted team.
I’ve always said about Involvement that just because we’re not the biggest company, it doesn’t mean we can’t compete at the very highest level.
And without wanting to labour the point (‘point’, get it?) about the aptness of our sponsorship, the ambition and passion shown by this Berkhamsted team was right out of our playbook.
Like Involvement, the club demonstrates that success is not defined by scale. While operating as a relatively small members’ club, its ambition is to be recognised amongst the leading tennis and squash clubs in the country through excellence in facilities, member experience, operations and community impact.
That mirrors our own belief at Involvement that organisations can operate at the very highest level regardless of their size, provided they are driven by clear purpose, strong values, continuous improvement and an unwavering commitment.
