From Survival to Success!

A practical guide to business transformation based on Involvement’s journey

The Book Of Involvement

Why our book might be worth some of your time.

We transformed our ordinary family firm to the point where we became Britain’s best team-led company, winning Employer of the Year in the ‘Oscars’ of national business awards and achieving credible business growth.

We’re bursting with enthusiasm about what we’ve achieved, and now we’re ready to share what we’ve learned with our customers, our partners and anyone who’s learning about management.

Most people involved with managing will have been exposed to all sorts of leadership and management books with all kinds of theories about business transformation. We aren’t knocking these. We’ve read lots too.

The difference from many of these books is, our experience is real. We are a no-nonsense kind of company in a no-nonsense part of the country.

And yes, ten years or so ago we assumed we had many more important things to do than spend valuable time getting involved with fancy new-age management speak. But now, well, we get it. That’s why it’s important to us that;

We want to show you how, working together, we’ve made ourselves reliable and resilient as a business partner, driven 100% by our customers’ needs. And how these things have supercharged our commercial success. We’ve all won, basically.

Why?

It’s inspired by our Values Handbook, which we use every day to guide everything we do.

We’ve done it because we want our clients to understand what drives us.

We also hope that it might be useful for anyone who’s interested in supercharging the effectiveness of their people.

There are loads of great leadership and management books, but we think ours stands out for being written from real experience.

Values Handbook

Our Journey

We have radically transformed over the past decade from a very traditional, half-century-old family concern in the Midlands into a pre-eminent business of its kind.

When our CEO, Arjen Cooper-Rolfe left the commercial property world in 2011 to take over his family’s packaging business, it was an analogue operation rooted in the past, but with enormous potential.

(Arjen’s Story)

Arjen and the team embarked on a decade-long, radical cultural transformation.

Underpinning our transcendence is our belief that just because we’re an SME, that doesn’t mean we can’t operate at the very highest level. We’re now one of Britain’s most progressive companies in our approach to people – with a groaning sideboard of awards, independent accolades, and a consistent growth-trend to

prove it.

What is fundamental to our success? Our no exceptions, commitment to a common Purpose and set of Values that drives our Performance Culture.

How we achieve our Performance Culture, is encapsulated within our Values Handbook, developed over several years, it’s ‘as important as your contract of employment’.

The Book of Involvement is a straightforward and realistic guide for any business to use the concepts within our Values Handbook to deliver sustainable, people-led business growth.

Get Involved

We’d love it if our book helps build relationships with our clients, partners and friends.
